Jeff’s vision, critical thinking, and leadership have been instrumental in navigating an ever-changing energy industry. Using his scientific and economic education and experience, Jeff regularly advises energy clients on exploration feasibility and potential. He’s also raised over $200 million for various energy asset investment projects that have led to successful exits. Jeff and his wife, Katie, have seven kids, and when he’s not in the office, you will find him coaching his kids in soccer, lacrosse, and basketball, or attending the home basketball games of his beloved KU Jayhawks.
Bob Fraser is CFO and chief macro strategist for Aspen Funds. Bob is known for his data driven yet out-of-consensus forecasts, and is co-host of Aspen’s Invest Like a Billionaire podcast (thebillionairepodcast.com). Bob is a former magna cum laude UC Berkeley computer scientist, dotcom founder, and E&Y Entrepreneur of the Year.
Since 2002 Fraser has founded and served on several non-profit organizations’ boards of directors and as CFO. Fraser has also been involved in a number of entrepreneurial initiatives, including book publishing, financial consulting, and being an investment fund managing member.
Prior to Aspen, Mr. Fraser was a commercial lender at First Business Bank specializing in government backed loan originations (SBA & USDA), for one of the top SBA lenders in the nation. Prior to that he was a commercial credit underwriter for Crossfirst Bank, personally responsible for underwriting over $125MM in C&I and CRE loans across a variety of industries.
Prior to that, he worked for Tortoise Capital Advisors, a boutique asset management firm in energy infrastructure investments, and helped grow their institutional managed accounts from ~$3BN AUM to ~$7BN AUM. Ben was responsible for responding to all institutional RFPs from interested institutional investors.
Ben completed his MBA from Azusa Pacific University, and his B.S. in Finance from the University of Kansas, graduating magna cum laude.
